Education

I am currently a Special Education teacher for 6th and 7th grade. I teach math and language arts as well as study skills across all subject areas. I have my degree in elementary education, middle school math and language arts, art, and special education. I'm also attending graduate school to receive my masters in Special Educstion - Learning Disabilities.

Experience

I have been teaching for three years and tutoring for over 10 years. I really love working with children especially one on one or in smaller group settings, which is why I love teaching. I've worked with coworkers to develop a study skills curriculum to help students achieve success more independently and love watching children learn and grow.

Aside from my love of teaching, I have a degree in pastry arts and am a pastry chef so I love to bake. I love arts and crafts and playing games. I think it's important to make learning fun so I'm constantly trying to come up with new, fun ways to learn. I love he outdoors and sports as well. Bowling and softball are two of my favorite sports to play.
